This is the latest block I’ve completed of this quilt. I’ve had it on the back burner while I try to work out if I like any of these colour schemes and, if so, which one. I might try another garishly coloured block and see if it starts to come together.

Here is my second block. As you can see I haven’t made my mind up on colour just yet but I’m contemplating using lots of it and making multicoloured sashings, but we’ll see.

Southern Gentleman quilt blocks

I have been collecting the patterns for the Southern Gentleman Quilt from Fat Cat Patterns and have done three of the blocks. The BOM patterns are released on the first of the month and are free until the next one is released.  I missed a couple and bought them but have downloaded the others. I have hand appliquéd them using the back-basting technique. Here is the first one:
