Here, as promised, are the rest of the photos from Saturday’s Scquilters’ Gathering. First up are a beautiful Dresden plate made by Robyn and some clever quilted Christmas decorations made by Claire.

Next are some stunning Japanese fabrics – muslin I think as it is so fine, or cotton lawn – brought by Jean.

The are so fine that even though they are double thickness you can still see the one that is underneath. Amazing!

I went to the monthly gathering of the Sydney Southern Cross Quilters on Saturday.

I haven’t been for ages and so it was nice to catch up with everyone and see what they’re all doing.

As you can see we were all hard at work… eating.

Actually quite a lot was done and there are so many gorgeous things to show you that I’ll have to do it over two posts or it will be too long.

First up there are these beautiful woven blocks of Liz’s. Apparently she’s taking a course and this is the result.

Next, for all you Candied Hexagons aficionados, are these beauties from Claire.

These next photos are the work of Heather. The Teddy quilt is one Heather’s daughter made at school years ago. Their cat damaged it and the quilt was never quilted and so Heather has repaired it and quilted it for her.

Isn’t her bird just gorgeous? And she says she can’t draw? I wish I couldn’t draw like that!
