The Prayer Quilt is Finished
I finally bound the prayer quilt the other day. I was careful to try to touch the backing as little as possible until I get it washed as I think this is what started my allergy. I’m happy with the way it turned out and I hope my friend likes it too. I quite enjoyed the English Paper Piecing and then the appliqué.
Here are some photos.
I’ve just about finished quilting the prayer quilt. I may put a little more of the Perle quilting beneath the bottom of the diamonds. I’m not sure yet. It’s a bit hard to see the Perle quilting in the whole picture so I’ve included a couple of close-ups.
Thank you all for your input. I decided to go with the most popular option and quilt the background in large Perle stitches.
And please all of those of you who have told me that I should ALWAYS wash my fabrics before I use them can feel free to now shout in unison “I TOLD YOU SO!” I am duly chastened. 🙂 (not to mention itchy)
