inI’ve finished the first four Camelot Blocks and I thought you might like to see them together. Thank you for all your comments and suggestions I really appreciate them.
I had a minor diasater at one stage when I thought I had finished Block 4 only to take a photo and realise I had one of the sections upside down! I wondered why it didn’t fit well. Oh well the lesson there is don’t work on something when you’re really tired. 🙂
I hope 2013 is a wonderful year for you all and your families.
Take care.

inI’ve sorted out a huge pile of fabrics and made a start on the Camelot quilt I blogged about a while ago here. If you scroll down you can see a picture of the quilt. I’m not sure that I’ll use those fabrics in that blog post for the background. I’m going to make all the circles first then decide.
I found this Baby Bunting Reunion fabric by Sweetwater for Moda in Vanilla. I like the colours and decided to make them the basis for my quilt.
Heres’ my first block.

inIs there a product that you wished existed? Something that you would find really useful. I have one. I wish that Aurifil would make sample boxes. Something similar to the Superior Threads donut but with a lid to keep out the dust. There is a lovely French made thread call Fil au Chinois that comes in tiny spools. See below. Wouldn’t it be neat if Aurifil did the same for a variety of colours of 50wt for appliquéing and 12wt for embellishing quilts?

inI had some scraps left over from where I cut off the irregular edges of the Chevron Explosion Quilt and my husband had asked me to make him a sleep visor so I did and here it is. I used improvisational foundation paper piecing What do you think? He says they are the most comfortable visors he’s ever worn.
