I thought I had finished the Lily Wallhanging but when i took the “ta da!” photos I saw that I still had two leaves to go. Anyway here are the photos. See if you can see where they’re missing from. Here’s a close-up.

Oh a hate it when you think you’re done and then discover you’re not! I find it very disheartening!
Looks beautiful though!
Thanks Talia. π
I see where they’re missing, but it doesn’t detract from the lovliness (did I spell that right?? hmmm). It’s even prettier than I thought it would be. Are you going to hang it soft like a quilt, or stretch it over a frame?
xo Linda
Hi Linda
I plan to quilt it through one layer of batting and then staple it onto a frame.
Cheers
Munaiba
Hi Munaiba,
It looks lovely as it is … I love your fabrics! I wouldn’t worry too much about the “missing leaves” Didn’t you just design it to be assymetrical? And as the old saying goes “a blind man would be pleased to see it”.
Chers,
Sandy L
Two? or two pairs? or is it three?
Looks wonderful by the way. I have just spent an hour sorting my batiks… I have a 12″ pile. Think I might have to do my Kaffe collection next!
I see the missing leaves but WOW!!!!! Absolutely beautiful !!! Really a wonderful job. BTW I have done that stapling after quilting over just a layer of batting and may I suggest a backing on the frame – either cloth or heavy paper as the bare batting/backing picked up dust and was hard as H….. to clean π¦
Again a lovely piece you should be proud and you will be every time you look at the bed π
Beautiful Munaiba. The center flower is just gorgeous. You truly did a wonderful job cutting out each petal. I thought it was broderie perse (spelling?) until I looked at the close up. You should show that!!!
Ditto Sylvia. Love it.

I concur with everyone else! It’s lovely! But I saw three leaves missing?
Hi Annette
There are actually only two leaves missing as I designed it to be asymmetrical. i think the odd leaf you think is missing is near the flower. If you look at the one that is already there you will see that it’s in a different position to either of the ones on the other side of the flower. However, a couple of people have said this to me now so perhaps I’ll have to add another leaf after all. π
haha, you got me! I am not the quilt police and you sure can put your leaves wherever you want to π It keeps us hopping π
Oh, as usual you do lovely work Munaiba. Just wish I could do it too :-).
