When I was compiling my list of WIPs I forgot to add the Kimono Quilt! I have actually been working on it. My friends made me 15 blocks and so I needed to make another to make a 4 x 4 quilt. I got the pattern from a friend on Thursday and so yesterday I cut it out, vlisofixed it and appliquéd it, using blanket stitch, to the background. Here it is. What do you think?
What is “vlisofixed” – is it like fusing??
And I do like it!
Vlisofix comes in a roll that looks like paper and you iron it onto the back of your motif then cut it out. Then peel off the paper and iron it onto the background.
Perfect for spring with iris and wisteria. I;m looking forward to seein all the kimono blocks together.
Lovely! I can’t wait to see the pieced quilt top. (you notice I did NOT say finished quilt………lol)
Love it – think it might be my favorite. Looking forward to seeing the whole thing!
I do like it! Vislofix is that like steam a seam? It sounds like it. Do you have any idea what the differences are between the two?
