Washing and ironing batiks doesn’t really sound like much fun, does it? Especially if, like me, you are not one to wash your fabric before you use it.
However, I made an exception this time because I want to use these batiks for appliqué and they’re much easier to handle once they’ve been washed. What did surprise me was how gorgeous they looked on the line, especially viewed through the bamboo. It was almost like seeing them in the jungle somewhere. So here they are wild and free and glorious…
And here they all are tamed once more…
I think I prefer them wild and free. |

Those are so pretty! I can imagine ironing them might almost be fun because it’s time spent admiring their beauty!
So pretty!!! Must be warm enough to hang them on the line there. They would never dry here in TN. It has been a cold Winter here so far. Have fun ironing them….
It’s summer here though you wouldn’t think so today – it’s windy and chilly. Brrr
You have a large, colorful menagerie there, Munaiba! You are going to have some fun with them. They did look lovely out in your yard!!
