On Friday a friend and I went out of Sydney and visited quilt shops in Mittagong, Bowral and Berrima. I had never visited the ones in Mittagong and Bowral before so I found it interesting to see the different fabric collections they stocked. Here are a couple of photos of the Bowral shop and it’s garden. Isn’t it cute?
We had a lovely lunch, and the best coffee outside Sydney, in Bowral. Then we drove onto Berrima where I found a wide selection of batiks for an Hawaiian-style quilt I’m planning. I’m off to wash the batiks now. Have a great weekend. The SMS give-away will close at 4pm today (Saturday) Sydney time and hopefully I’ll be organised enough to announce the winner tomorrow. 🙂
I haven’t been to the quilt shops in the Highlands yet… one day.
Your batik fabrics are beautiful.
Hi Munaiba,
It sounds like it really was a “Fun Friday!” The quilt shop picture you sent is indeed lovely, and the “girl’s day out” lunch (and that coffee) sound very appealing. You made quite a haul with those batiks. I don’t know why, but batiks are not high up on my favorites list. It must be an aberration, because everyone else seems to like them.
xoxo
You went “shop hopping”! lol What fun, just wish I could have been with you!
Me too. You would have loved it!
I love batiks Munaiba and that collection is so very much you! The colours I collect are very different…
