Yesterday I managed to complete the quilting of the It’s a Hoot baby floor quilt.
I machined in the ditch vertically then I stitched 1/4″ either side of the horizontal seams.
I was quite impressed with the Pinmoors as a basting method.
I hand quilted the shadow of the appliquéd bird – first in brown then a dusty pink and the a pale turquoise and I’m quite please with the effect.
I love it! I just ordered some fabric from that same line and can’t wait to get started on it.
Lovely! You’re on a roll. I especially like the hand quilting. I’ll have to try that one. Did you use perle cotton or floss on the hand quilting?

Hi Linda
I used Perle 8. I used a couple of different brands but the one I liked most was the turquoise one which was a Presenica Perle. It didn’t shred around the eye of the needle the way the other ones did.
