I think I’ve got it… the quilting pattern for my “which way?” quilt that is. Finally, after quietly fermenting in the creative corner of my mind, my quilting pattern has emerged. Here it is:
Ignore the irregular lines at the top and bottom. They were false starts. The pattern is series of colliding rectangles. What do you think?
Of course this new direction can mean only one thing! Unpicking! I spent last evening unpicking all my previous quilting except for the “in the ditch” quilting around the block edges.
This one works for me Munaiba… brings the coloured blocks into focus but doesn’t take away from the simplicity of the quilt
Thanks Dot. Now I just have to figure out how to do it without turning the quilt all the time. I think I’ll have to stop and start going vertically from one rectangle to another and then turn the quilt round and do the other way.
I LOVE it!!!
The way to do it easiest is with multiple needles, all going in the same direction. 🙂
Machine quilting with multiple needles? Or are you talking hand quilting? I was planning on machine quilting this but who knows?
I think it’s beautiful! Great choice!
This is the one! Sometimes you just have to wait until the quilt tells you.
Look forward to seeing you progress with this quilt it’s bound to be lovely.
