The other day the postie delivered some fabric from Hawthorne Threads. I bought some fabric that is really out of my comfort zone. It’s called Nellie’s Garden and I orderd two Fat Quarter Bundles, one in Pink and one in Green. What do you think? It’s not really me is it?
I also bought some more of Michael Miller’s Whimsy. I had some of this already in blue and green and now I have it in teal and white and chocloate…
They may be out of your comfort zone, Munaiba, but what possibilities to explore something different to your usual style! I’m working with Civil War fabrics at the moment – NOT my thing usually – but I’m totally enjoying the challenge.
I love the Nellie’s Garden fabric, that’s me since I’m doing Dear Jane blocks with the 30s fabric. Love the other one too.
They look like fun, Munaiba! I quite like pretties, occasionally, though they are not really my thing. I think you’ve probably seen my pretty basket blocks for my granddaughter?
I think it’s good to go outside what feels comfortable sometimes. I think I’ve learnt more by doing that than by any other thing.
