The last few days have seen me, rotary cutter in hand, reducing my ever increasing pile of odd shaped scraps into various sized squares. They go right up to 8.5″ squares and down to 1″ squares. The 1″ squares (shown here) are destined for my granddaughter. I’m going to suggest she stick them with paste onto cardboard and make some pretty bookmarks for family and friends. They all look so lovely in their different sized piles, that I want to start sewing them together immediately. However I am resisting. I want to have as much choice available to me as possible before I dive in. So I guess today is another cutting day.
Have you been following Stashbusters then, Munaiba?
No I haven’t Dot. I’ll have to check on them.
Cheers

I love scrap quilts! I love how quilting is based on the idea of not wasting fabrics. And I love, love, love fabric!!
Please come read my blog, too.

You are so good, I’m not sure if I’d have the fortitude to cut all the scraps. I don’t know how old your GD is but she could even play “quilts” on a bit of felt or flannel with the squares.

I need to get this done too, once the family has gone home from our anniversary celebration that we didn’t want, I will start stashbusting too. Many of mine will be cut into strips.
