I finished my Labyrinth quilt a little while ago but I entered it into an exhbition and I didn’t want to publish the final pics until I knew for sure that I hadn’t been accepted. Well the bad news is, I wasn’t accepted but the good news is, now I can show you the finished quilt. So here it is:

It is gorgeous, Munaiba!

I can only wonder why it wasn’t accepted… perhaps they don’t understand originality or true talent when they see it. wonderful!
Thanks Sylvia. That’s so kind of you. 🙂

I think it’s amazing…the colors, the circles in the flowers that echo the shape of the labyrinth. The the hand quilting–and are those French Knot? It’s gorgeous!!
Thanks Cathy. These ones are colonial knots though I’m not sure what the difference is.

It is spectacular! If I was a judge, I would have not only accepted it, I would have given it 1st place!! If yours was rejected, what did the accepted ones look like?
I am in awe of your hard work. 😎
Linda
Thanks Linda. You’ve made my day 🙂

It is absolutely beautiful. You have come a long way since your first tentative steps into quilting with the mystery quilt # 11. Congratulations.

Beautiful, Munaiba! Pity it wasn’t selected. It deserves to be seen by lots of people.

I love the close up – the utility quilting is a perfect compliment for the piece and really adds line to it. Very cool – the beading is a nice touch too!! This really inspires and reminds me that not all quilting needs to be 20 stitches per inch LOL!! WOW! great job!
Thanks Nina-Marie. By the way, it’s not beading. I noticed another commenter thought that too. They are colonial knots.
Cheers

Munaiba, you have done a fantastic job. I hope that you are proud of your finished quilt. The show organizers don;t know what they are talking about. I and many others think it is inspiring. Thank you for showing us.

Lovely quilt. When you are in Canberra, find the native grass labyrinth near St Mark’s theological college – a completely different take on labyrinths.
