I had no idea what Pojagi or Bojagi was – in fact I’d never even heard the word before – until I read some posts on the Silly Boo Dilly Blog. This is a traditional Korean patchwork art and produces some really beautiful items. It was used by Royalty and commoners alike in Korea. One of it’s features is the way the seams are made, enabling both sides of the item to be used. Wikipedia has some more info on it here including a really amazing image of one from the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco.
I’d love to show you some pics but I couldn’t find any that were freely available to use.
If you’re looking for the Art Gallery Fabrics Give Away it’s here. You’ve got till Friday before it’s drawn.
