Cool cushions
Well I put my new machine through its paces today and made some cushions. I bought 5 x 18″ cushion inserts from Linda at Horsley Patch ( a bargain – 5 inserts for $20!) and two offcuts of furnishing fabric for $3 each from Patchwork Plus at Miranda. So my 5 cushions cost me the grand total of $26! I’m sure I would have paid at least $30 each for them in a shop. So my new machine is already starting to pay for itself. I made two plain cushions covers, two with a sham and one that had a decorative insert.
If there is any interest I’ll put up a tutorial on how to make them.
Very nice Munaiba.
Thanks Robyn 🙂 Nice to catch up with you again
I love your cushions and glad to see you love your new machine. Patchwork plus is one of my local shops!

I love your cushions and I feel inspired to make a few. I haven’t heard of “Horsley Patch” before, but I go to Patchwork Plus at Miranda quite often.
Perhaps we’ll see each other there one day. 🙂
Nice cushions! Well done.
I must get some cushions made. They give such a lift to a room.
Thanks Christine. This was fun.
