Well I’m persevering with the ‘uglies’ although I’m champing at the bit to do something beautiful. I’ve had lots of useful suggestions and some emails with comments that made me laugh. That’s really why I’ve continued with them, however, I’m not totally committed to them yet. Here’s my collection so far.
I went to a sit and sew today and when I got sick of the ‘uglies’ I went back to hand quilting my Andalusian Tile quilt. I had actually finished this quilting but then decided it would look better with more quilting so I’m now filling in the shapes with more quilting. Here are some pics.
If you click on the pics you’ll get a larger image and you’ll be able to see the stitches.
My dear friend, there is NOTHING ugly about these tumbling blocks!!! I love them.. but I suspect that shows how different you and I are in our tastes! lol Something we’ve talked about before!
Hi Sylvia
I’m glad you like them and I guess you’re right about our tastes. 🙂 Good old Kaffe is more my style!
Thanks for your comment
Munaiba
Tumbling blocks look great in any fabric. Your tile quilt looks great with extra stitching. Thanks for the lamb shank recipe we’re having tonight, the house smells great. I did make a few changes.
That’s; part of the fun of cooking I think, adding your own touches. I think I make this differently each time I make it.
Munaiba
Gosh Munaiba, I hadn’t realized you could click on photos to enlarge. I must tell you that your points on the Andalusian quilt are just perfect!!! 🙂 sylvia
Thanks Sylvia 🙂
They may be uglies on their own Munaiba, but they have a certain charm when they’re put together! Thank you for your kind comments on my blog.
