Today I tried a new recipe – a yummy lemon syrup cake.

P1060284This is the recipe I used. There are a few details I would add to this recipe of I were to make it again.

  1. Make sure your eggs are at room temperature.
  2. Make sure your milk is at room temperature.
  3. When adding the milk and flour add in the following order – a little milk, a little flour, a little milk a little flour, the rest of the milk, the rest of the flour.

If you do this then you will lessen the likelihood of the mixture splitting/curdling. Good luck and enjoy!
