I have friends in DC who recently had a baby boy and so I made this little floor/wall quilt for him. I used a mixture of Kaffe Fassett and It’s a Hoot Jelly rolls and some animal fabric that I got in the Travelling Stash. For the backing I used a Dick Jane print.
Amazing! And how long did it take you to do this? I imagine you did it all by hand. I love the elephants and giraffes….8-)
I machine-pieced it and stabilise quilted it and then hand quilted with big stitch 12wt cotton. It took 4 hours to the stabilisation and then probably another 10 hours quilting and binding.
Very simple and pretty…. Lots for the baby too look at too!
OMG! I love the elephant fabric. So adorable! You’ve matched the seam up perfectly as well.
